Since 2018, we’ve built a fast, reliable full fibre network where commercial providers failed to act.
Covering circa 45 square kilometres northwest of Basingstoke, HCB’s privately owned network connects over 500 homes and businesses through 145 km of fibre-optic cable, all linked to high-performance headend equipment in London. This allows us to deliver world-class, ultra-fast broadband straight to our community.

If your current broadband contract has less than 12 months remaining, you can sign up today and pay just £5 a month and get FREE installation subject to government funding. Without funding there may be an “at cost” installation charge (to be agreed in advance) which will vary according to the property’s proximity to our existing network.

Founded and run by local residents, HCB is deeply rooted in the community, enabling the delivery of world-class broadband for the benefit of the whole community.
HCB owns the local physical infrastructure including the headend cabinet close to the A339, contracting with suitable technical partners to provide the backhaul link to Telehouses (London based data centres) connecting to the WWW and working closely with an Internet Service Provider (ISP). Subject to contract terms we can hold our technical partners to account and can change if they under-perform. We currently have a 2 Gig backhaul supply with capacity to increase as and when demand dictates i.e. with built-in future proofing.
We are a community facing enterprise. When the UK was ‘locked-down’ during Covid we increased the speeds delivered to all connections to help households with their increased demand for data – without increasing prices. HCB offers free broadband to churches and village halls and is happy to support other rural communities in North Hampshire to launch their own networks or join ours. HCB remains on a mission to close the urban/rural digital divide, one community at a time.
HCB disowns the market practice of over promising & under delivering. Each fibre connected to a HCB customer is capable of greater speeds than the one promised. We build-in an additional margin so you get what you pay for. We deliver symmetric service speeds, meaning your upload speed is the same as your download speed (many carriers’s upload speeds are circa 10% of their download speeds). Upload speeds are becoming increasingly important as user demand to upload data to The Cloud and as part of daily life increases exponentially.
